Master's degrees at EPB
The master's degree includes two years of 60 credits (120 ECTS). After three years of general training in applied sciences, it is the time to specialise. The École Polytechnique de Bruxelles offers eight master's degrees, all in English, five of which are organized jointly with the VUB as part of Bruface. Each of these degrees leads to a civil engineering diploma, EUR-ACE certified and accredited by the Commission des Titres d'Ingénieur (CTI).
Civil engineers can choose from one of seven possible master's degrees: construction, chemistry and materials science, electronics and telecommunications, electromechanics, computer science, physics, and biomedical engineering. Civil engineers specializing in architecture continue their studies in the civil engineering and architecture master's program.
On the practical side, the master's program offers various cross-disciplinary projects in addition to those organized by each department: Team Leader, Polydaire, Shell Eco-Marathon, Triaxes, and Development Cooperation. A 12-week internship in a company is also planned to develop your professional skills.
The École Polytechnique de Bruxelles also offers three master's degrees through the Brussels School of Bioengineering, in partnership with the Faculty of Sciences.
The École Polytechnique de Bruxelles now offers a master's degree in Cybersecurity, which is open to civil engineering students with a bachelor's degree or to electronics, telecommunications, and computer science engineers as a complementary master's degree.
